Looks like Nick and I weren't the only ones caught shittin', errr slippin', last week!
Hey, everybody it's been a looooooong couple of weeks for me and Nick, and with midterms looming on the horizon things don't bode well! However, we'll try our very best to keep getting content out to you on a more consistent basis with the possible addition of a third admin! Don't get too excited because we're still ironing out the details, but we should be able to start posting on a daily basis if things work out! Anyways, let's pre-game for tonight's episode with a little review of last week's!
Part 1: Rick, Michonne, and Carl
I think it's time that we all agree; Rick is the hide and seek champion of the universe! First he hides from a hospital full of biters while in a coma, and now he's hiding under a bed from a house full of marauders! Oh and did I forget to mention that he's probably still harboring massive bruising and broken bones? Carl might be up and coming, but Rick is still the man! The only other thing I learned in his scenes though is that there are a band of redneck, marauding douchebags currently within range of many of our wandering prisoners! Also, we've got a HUUUUUGE conflict coming up because at the end of the episode, we found out that Rick is headed in the same direction as Tyreese and more importantly Carol! I think if Rick had the balls to kick her out of the group before for being a murderer, then this little meet-up is not going to turn out so well Mama Carol and the Psycho twins!
Fortunately for Carol, Rick has Michonne and Carl to keep him on the straight and narrow. In the scenes where Michonne and Carl were scavenging for food, we find out a lot about Michonne's past and we get to see a strong bond formed between two of the most badass characters in the show. Could it be that Carl is going to be Michonne's apprentice samurai? I sure fucking hope so! More importantly, however, I like to think that, when Michonne found the mother that killed her two daughters, this was a scene that was all too familiar to her. A few weeks ago, I speculated that Michonne's lover may have murdered her son out of depression and desperation. After seeing the mother-daughter scene, I just know in my gut that my speculation is more fact than fiction!
Part Two: Abraham, et. al
Thisss ginga.. Finally we get to actually meet the great Sgt. Abraham Ford. Abraham is the total package when it comes to character depth. He has already shown us that he has passion and that when comes to his mission. He is willing to go to great lengths to support Eugene in his "endeavors" to race for a cure. Eugene shows us how wasteful he is by shooting up the trunk in an attempt to kill approaching walkers; while in the meantime Abraham and Glenn were fighting over whether Glenn going to find Maggie (whom Abraham claims to have died). After the altercation and the realization that the truck that Abraham was drive is not useless, they end up putting their differences aside for the betterment of the group and travel to find out the real fate of Maggie
This concludes the the review for The Walking Dead 4x11 "Claimed."
